English Week 2018

What a lovely English week we’ve had! We started on Monday 19th with Mar’s father, Richard, who came to show us some American quotes in the “Wizard of Oz” film. They were so interesting and useful! and now we know why and when to use those quotes:
“I’m melting” “Lions, tigers, bears, oh my!” “My people come and go so quickly here!” “There’s no place like home”. “Toto, now I know we are not in Kansas!” “Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain”

The girls and boys from Year 6 have been “story-tellers” for a day. They have prepared a story with different objects to explain it to the rest of the classes. Watch the photos, they are great!

Music is part of our life and our school has enjoyed a parents’ Rock band! Amazing! They made all of us dance. Thanks a lot!

Year 4 have had special physical activities to learn English thank to Mire and Elsa, two English teachers to be!

We watched English theatre with IPA production for the older kids and Christian for the younger ones! It was really good!

Ian’s father, Edisson, came to talk about “team building”. It was really interesting and we learned a lot about ourselves as a group. Thanks a lot!

Eirin’s mother drove us to Scotland, a magic land where the Harry Potter franchise takes place. We asked her many many questions and enjoyed every slide that she showed us. Thanks!

Marc “the monitor” played many English games with Years 5 and 6. We had lots of fun and lots of learning too!

Tian, Nil and Joan’s mothers were expert “story-tellers” for a day. Watch the little ones faces! Amazing! Thanks. Simon’s mother did a good job doing a very relaxing yoga activity.
